Falling Into Sweetness

Well, we didn't think summer would come to an end, but it is *officially* Autumn in Memphis. I don't think the weather has communicated with Mother Nature, but it wouldn't be fall in Memphis without a little bit of summer heat lingering.

We've had a lot going on at the shop recently! Our first Fall Festival was on September 9th and we had the best time ever. Our line up of vendors was top notch. We had music by The Church Brothers and special performances by Rhodes college a cappella group "Lipstick on Your Collar". Both were absolutely amazing and we loved having them! We are looking forward to hosting more vendors next year and currently feel like we're floating on cloud 9. It was the best day!

The next week we were inspired by all things breakfast and put a breakfast twist on our macarons, cupcakes, and pastries. We had fruit loop, apple jack, lucky charm macarons and more! Cupcake flavors included vanilla faux egg and strawberry waffle.

So, while we teased out some new pastries during our fall festival, we officially bid farewell to summer on 9/22 when we launched our fall pastry menu. We've got sweet potato tarts with torched marshmallows that we make in house, our infamous pecan pie, an apple chaider profiterole, trifles that rotate weekly, and a delicious Black Forest inspired cake. It's a good line up! And if you're visiting Overton Square and need some caffeine to get you through the day, be sure to pop in and try our Fall Harvest latte with pumpkin spice cold foam. We've dubbed her "The Autumn".

On the macaron front, we've got the return of our classic pumpkin spice and cinnamon apple macarons. Be on the lookout for pumpkin praline bars in the next week or so. Those guys are a staff favorite- be sure to try one on your next visit!

Alright guys, the holidays are right around the corner and I am equal parts excited and terrified. Like where did the year go?!
